Bouncing Releases: Week of Jan 29 | Dubstep, Electro House, Progressive House

Bouncing Releases: Week of Jan 29

At the beginning of every week oodles of new singles, EPs, albums are released to digital music stores worldwide for fans to enjoy. There’s a whole lot of good stuff that gets lost in that pile of music and were here to make sure it doesn’t slip through your fingertips. Weekly, we’ll be throwing up brief overviews of our favorites along with links where to buy them, so you can get the tracks that fit your fancy.

Marcus Schossow just dropped a big, big, big three track EP, demonstrating the reach of his production skill & taste. Dubstep, Progressive House, and Electro House tracks that are each unstoppable in their own right, but one in particular stands out: ‘Lights Out,’ the title track. The melody is catchy on the level of a certain Avicii song and the bass kicks hard; a perfect balance of beauty & intensity. This track is going to get enourmous playtime and he’s going to blow up as a result. Needless to say its by far his best track to date. Beatport it.

Axwell released another one of his personal mixes, coincidentally on his own label, that has been long overdue. Fans all over have been grovelling to get a polished version of “In My Mind,” and here it is. The song is fantastic. Georgi Kay’s vocals are enchanting and the rhythm is bright, energetic, bouncing and just, so… Axwell. Get it at Beatport.

Steve Aoki & Ultra Records have already pumped out the first round of remixes off his recent premiere album “Wonderland,” and the track of choice? ‘Ladi Dadi.’ Taking the stage? Tommy Trash, Angger Dimmas, Autoerotique, and Pixel Cheese. When it comes to making tracks that rage with electro force, you really can’t ask for a better lineup. Every track is banging, and below is my top pick. I also urge you to check them all out but Angger’s especially, his version shows a strong dubstep influence, contrary to his MO. Pick it up at iTunes or Beatport.

Wolfgang Gartner’s first self-release since his knock-out album ‘Weekend In America,’ is a hit! “There And Back” shows that he is still furthering his skills, and creating better tracks with every release; undoubtedly forcing him to reach new heights. Nobody makes the synths pop like Wolfgang and in this composition he keeps the positive vibes steadily rising throughout, culminating into another timely masterpiece to add to his resume. Exclusively at Beatport.

Datsik fans rejoice! Amongst traveling along for he and Aoki’s Deadmeat Tour, he’s dished out a brand new single featuring the hip-hop vocals of Snak The Ripper. The song shutters under his distinct, mechanically-sounding wobbles while winding eerie synths trickle in at each interlude. Buy your copy today, at Beatport.
