Introducing, Moodgadget Records

Established in 2004, Moodgadget Records has been nurturing the electronic music making process for artists such as Mux Mool, SHIGETO, TEEEL, and André Obin to name a few, but that’s just beginning of the list. Jakub Alexander and Adam Hunt built this label from the ground up in Ann Arbor, Michigan, eventually making their way to Brooklyn, New York. Now based in both Brooklyn and Los Angeles, Moodgadget has continued to break down the walls, foraging a new path for electronic music. Although this introduction is long overdue, some artists working with them have recently put out new releases. One being Mux Mool, who just released Planet High School on February 7th, and in case you missed our interview with Brian Lindgren, here’s the link. Also, SHIGETO recently put out his Lineage EP also through label friends, Ghostly International. I’d be going against their vision by trying to categorized the music they expose, but have a listen to these three tracks and be sure to support good music when you hear it.
